panasonic rx 5025

okay sheesh.

this machine started playing out of only one side.
sometimes even that side will quit.
so i opened it up and looked for loose wires, found none.
carefully cleaned it out and cleaned the switches and pots.

sound is perfect through headphones.

what is next?
amp chip?

help?

still only one side but the other side. this like that marty feldman scene in young frankenstein with the hump moved on igor.

Check for a mouse cage inside. The mouse might have changed directions.

I expect a more serious response from a member anytime now...

the schematic says hamsters.

Superduper, we diagnosed it as hamsters.
Please find a solution.

Spray a good dose of contact cleaner inside the headphone jack and work the plug in/out many times. If that doesn't fix it, then the jack is probably bad, or the solder connection at the headphone jack could be bad. The problem is there.
