Hey all,

Here is a vid (will go faster than typing) so you guys will be able to hear what the static is...

It makes the same noise on batteries, outlet and ext-power pack.

If you have any other questions on what it does or what I tried to do... do ask!

All entries, suggestions and possible solutions are more than welcome! No matter how simple it might be!

The exact same thing was present on a Sanyo M-X920 that I worked on for Mellymelsr a few months back. That model had a separate amp board and I recapped and replaced the amp chip for that board. That fixed it 100%. It could've either been either or both of those but once I had gone through all the work of taking out the board to work on it, there was no reason to try to save the small $$ by skimping. Labor is often far more costly than that of the bits. For that reason, I replaced BOTH amp modules at that time, although only 1 channel was exhibiting the static/no audio symptom you are showing.

That is what i thought1 the amp chip!

Same noise, same static on mine as the Sanyo you worked on than? Okay... I know what I have to do (one day)!

Thanks!!!!

I'm listening to your youtube video on my non-modified gf-9595.

Super is the expert so this is just my observation:
Sometimes my right speaker cuts out, or the right-side vu meter loses strength (one bar of volume is lost). I traced it to the MIXING on/off switch.
Deox is not helping, I think the switch is bad.

When I move the switch back and forth I get the static I here in your video, but only on the right speaker. The left is always non-static: it changes a little in background noise, but no static.

So, long shot here, but try rewiring/bypassing the MIXING on/off switch and see if that helps.

Well, I'm already in guessland on that answer so why not go to the edge:

The reason the mixing bypass might work is that there may be power fluctuation that is hitting the connections on the switch which cause it to 'static' out a bit. I'm actually getting this a bit on mine, just occured once on the right speaker, after 5 minutes of sitting there. No other switch/button causes static on the right speaker only.

Okay.... I went ahead and changed the condenser (capacitors) and cleaned the switch... Nothing.

So, the amp chip is next!

For the amp chip I have "HA 1392", is that correct?

Thanks!

Okay, no one confirmed the amp chip number here (but they did on the other sight)....

So, an amp chip was found on line, but I have 2 that I did not remember of (from a 777 donor).

I changed the amp chip and can now say, "Right, it is not the amp chip".

I spent another full half day taking ALL apart; From the amp chip to the volume sliders to the SNRS switch etc... And nothing! Still the same cracking noise!!!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!! :'-( :dunce:

Sorry to hear!
Im running to the fleas but I can rattle off a few ideas. Keep in mind im an amateur here-superduper is the pro.

-connect external speakers. Same issue on right side only? Can also try switching wires from inside maybe? goal is to isolate it as not being a speaker issue.
-switch power source. if using ac try dc.
-if using dc, adjust voltage down, same issue? box is 12-15v so try the range and then lower.
-try headphones..same issue?

I had a simular crackle noise on my lasonic trc975 and it turned out to be a bad solder connection to the rca input jacks. The funny thing was it also was like this with volume down and no matter if it was set to radio/tape or input. Hope this helps ;-)

Guys all this is all good!!!!!

To Restocat : Have not tried ext speakers yet But have tried headphones and it does still crackle well (unfortunately).
Power source, have tried batt, ext power pack and the normal inter transformer (all same).
Voltage down seems to be the same (have not done a lot of test on that).

To Baddboybill: Will check RCA!!!!!

Keep it coming guys (know, i am going to France for a week, so I will b e doing nothing to the 9595 'till I get back.

Later!

The failure must be in the low signal part before the volume slider.

I guess one transistor is a little bit defective.

Do you can change the low level signals right and left on the slider panel ?

First try the input wires and second the output wires.

To disassemble the small conectors you need a very small screwdriver.

Do you know how to locate the correct low signal wires ?

If you have got more questions please ask me here and per pm

I must thank, in a very high voice, JVC 838!!!

THANK YOU!!!

He guided my dumb ass thought the possibilities, and he found that it was the IC chip 204!!!!!!

I took the chip out, and now the 9595 works (the volume is low because of this missing amp chip, but the cracking is GONE!!!!!!)

I am going to try and order one from an on line store.

later guys!

More news in a few weeks or so (when I get the new chip!)
