In my hunt for Boomboxes over the last few weeks I've picked up a few blank cassettes, thought I'd post em up for all to see.

Feel free to add pics of your cassettes. I'd love to see what other people have. I don't have any reelys yet, but rest assured I'm keeping an eye out.

Nice tapes, I really like to older SA's with the white packaging. :thumbsup:

I never really thought of tapes as finds. :hmmm:

Are they hard to get? There are a bunch of new sealed ones at our thrifty store, maybe I should grab them.

The real finds are sealed metal tapes but most sealed chrome/High bias tapes are worth fifty cents at the thrifts. :yes:

Old TDK from 1979 given to me by a great friend (was his grandmas, unsealed but never recorded)

Sealed "StrÄnj TÄp" TDK haven't found any info on, any thoughts?

Blue TEAC reel tape, have had it for YEARS!

Very nice StrÄnj-BÅÅmbÅks, I'll post up some more later myself. Sony Dynarange, Maxell UD's and Sony CHF are all in my collection.

My TDK SA 110's as above are from 1988, the rest are more recent. StrÄnj-BÅÅmbÅks I love your Maxell collection and I love those BASF, they are the bomb!

restocat, go get those tapes from the thrift, super rare tapes can fetch big money on ebay, but I reckon it's more fun to trade and collect, plus if you find some good ones you can post em up here and brag. Also they are good to record on!

Resto, you'd be amazed at what can be considered a "collectible." :lol:

I constantly am. Pretty much anything old is fair game here.

Stranj, nice collection. King Curtis and Erroll Garner on one tape? That's an interesting combination. :-D

My favorite is finding a nice old boomer at a thrift store or flea market, that still has an old (playable) tape inside it, usually a mix tape someone made years ago and forgot they had. It's like a double score :yes:

Hey what can I say? I guess "StrÄnjeness" comes in the family, it's one of my old brother's tapes from back in his day! ;-)

Here are the tapes I've picked up from the thrifts in roughly the last 45 days, they are all brand new and sealed. I've had very good luck with boomboxes and tapes at the thrifts the last 2 months, probably the best 2 months I've ever had.

Not sure what shipping from the US to Venezuala would be, that alone may make it to costly for a few tapes. I'm pretty much only picking up new sealed tapes, did you have something in mind?

That German BASF Coca Cola has to be rare?

The Maxell man in a chair are great tapes too, I have a 5 pack of Maxell Chromes coming from New Zealand, should be here next week.

Maybe an official tape trade section Fatdog?

All of my sealed cassettes, except for two that came from SINISTER, have come from thrift stores. :thumbsup:

A tape sale/trade section? If enough guys were interested in it, I'm sure it could happen. :yes:
