My BBDB 4.0 finally arrived. :w00t: Actually it probably arrived a few days ago, but my wife hid it under a stack of mail. :hmmm: I have it loaded on my Macbook Pro. (running Windows XP via Parallels) It works really nice. And pretty darn quick too. I am a bit disappointed in some of the data. Some things are clearly wrong and I had pointed it out to Jens many months ago but it was not changed. It looks like I can change mine myself? Add pictures and delete pictures? Maybe add boxes too? Has anyone done this yet? Is there an ability to add a field so I can check off what I own? Or what I want?

I just started looking at it and I don't want to mess it up. :angelic:

Oh, does anyone know how to pull up a screen of thumbnails on a search instead of the full-frame pictures? :dunce:

that´s
no problem at all to export import new boxes or pictures.
just use right mouseclick.
there are a lot of bubble helps.
also you can delete and ad new boxes-(up to36.000)
also you can change all individual entries.

That's pretty cool. I will use my power wisely.

Can I add a new check-box field for ones that I own? :hmmm:

Also what about the thumbnail views like the screen shots you sent me? How do I do those? :hmmm:

There is a very detailed manual at the first entry.
for several fuctions bubble helps are appearing.
sure you can ad all boxes of your own collection and put them with hundreds of pictures into the base .
If you want to get a propper intensive support

Yo there were sooo many changes.
Sometimes I went crazy after editing so many entries. So two of my friends gave me a hand that could have accured mistakes on the entry- list.

Also you should try out the aka list functions.

Thanks, I didn't see the manual. :dunce: I immediately started searching for "JVC" :w00t: Why does JVC have a " * " after the name? Most do not. What does that designate? :hmmm:

Just the fact that I can add and edit myself is very very exciting to me. I can put in my own BBX pictures! :w00t:

Is there anyway for me to upload that data to you so you can include it in future releases? :hmmm:

that just designates the "big players" manufacturers.sharp, jvc, aiwa sony, asf.
nevertheless the entries for the search function is self-supplementing,so you`ll abe to find jvc after putting in just jv .
