Help!! M90 Deck STUCK!!

I took my M90 out for the first time today, to work. The sound was phenomonal as I walked down to work, beautiful stuff.

Anyway as I was about to listen to a tape before I finished up for the day, I pressed play the deck locked up.

Stop won't work, powering off won't work. As soon as power is plugged in the motor can be heard.

She was just rebelted and serviced a few months ago so I'm not sure what to do.

Anyone had any prior experience in un-sticking the deck? I wanted to ask before I take her apart tomorrow to have a look and searching both sites didn't get me far.

it could be as something simple as a belt coming off or something mayor just open it take a peek

sounds like the belts to me i had the same problem i put new belts on and it works great .

If I remember, this unit has Solenoid logic controls...maybe one has jammed?

hey rick --its likely that ramon is right about the belt slipping off --

also --there have been some posts about manually 'jump starting' the flywheel

hope its not electronics.
