Looks like you have to push a button 'down there' to get her speakers to sing...

Looks like this box has some kind of DJ-controller in it. Maybe a karaoke function too?

EDIT: Just wheels for volume and microphone volume.

I believe Sansui was kinda high quality brand back in the 80's.

Check out this invisible boombox!  DAPY D-50!  Not my listing, nor my taste, but an interesting version.

Yeah I've seen that often.  Tempted to get it but I bet the speakers sound weedy.

This one is kinda strange...

I remember seeing one of those vintage-style 'Spirit of St' Louis' radio sets advertised in the back of a magazine (Smithsonian perhaps). Guess they'd forgotten the fact that Lindbergh opted not to carry a radio on the flight that made him famous - he'd wanted that much more weight savings for fuel.

This one is kinda strange...

Reminds me of thumbing through the AirMall catalog before the days of smartphones and tablets.

You could order a "Spirit of St. Louis" radio, a globe mini-bar, and an eyelash curler from the comfort of your partially reclining seat by picking up the Airphone in front of you and swiping your Sprint Long-Distance card.

Oh, and this thing.:

That's an MM799. I just saw the service manual on ebay, thought it looked familiar.

ThaT pic the original poster put into the post I answered is actually my box from when I was a kid growing up in detroit.
That was my headboard. I posted that pic on stereo to go quite a few years back so i was surprised to see it coming to another place so many years later.
I couldnt remember the make or model of it so I was hoping someone there might help.

the store was located in the old packard plant.
I forgot the year though.
it was sometime between 79 and 82 if memory serves me right.

I would like to use this topic to present you this Hortex model, whose reference is unknown!

It is for sale, 50€ (shipping costs not included)
Before buying it, I would like to know if the sound is good and if it is equipped with a line-in/line-out.
If you have any ideas, thank you in advance!
