Florida Sunshine Meet 2010? early info

Hello everyone, just wanted to inquire on a few things regarding the Sunshine Meet 2010,

1: are we planning on leaving the general date of the meet the same, ie. March of 2010? or do we want to have it earlier or later?
2: some discussion was had about starting earlier in the morning around 8, this is fine with me as long as I can get setup help before 8
3: i will have to get additonal tables to accommodate our ever increasing meet, shouldn't be a problem unless someone has a bunch they could bring.
4: I know it's real early but let's get some feedback as to the meet and try to keep this topic ON TOPIC as much as possible
until Bobby creates the official Sunshine Meet thread. this is just an early attempt at getting infomation,

If there could be a date set like may-june 2010, that way people who needs to schedule a vacation could.

I want to meet you all in person so bad, but I have to have a set date at least 6 months prior.

the end of march is usually the best weather in florida --
but---
making sure the timing accomodates the most guests --
is more important than the weather --

so those that already KNOW now --that march is no good for them-
might want to post that soon --

but -- march is TEN months away --
so hope thats plenty of time for all to plan it out

The weather at the end of March is supposed to still be fairly nice, unfortunately for us it was a little hotter than normal, again!! June/July will be unbearable, we are indoors so it probably won't be that bad but that is if the A/C units that they have can keep up with the temperature. I'll have to check it out in there this June/July to see how it is. I agree the weather is secondary when compared to the maximum number of members that we can get to show up. Like Ira said March is 10 months away and if we decide to hold the meet in March that should be more than enough time to make arrangements.

I seem to recall jaetee saying that March is no good for him - something about some Winter DJ Fest or something. Any other time would be okay for me except the last two weekends in May.

What about the weekend of June 4-5, 2010?

I will have to check with Linda to see if anything is going on during that time period before I can say yes or no. Should be ok, but I will find out.

Yea, I'll be at WMC in Miami that last weekend in March. I can pretty much guarantee that... I didn't go this year because I had a one-month old at home. A day trip to hang out with you guys was much more justifiable than a 4-day bender in Miami!

Yea, I'll be at WMC in Miami that last weekend in March. I can pretty much guarantee that... I didn't go this year because I had a one-month old at home. A day trip to hang out with you guys was much more justifiable than a 4-day bender in Miami!

where do you live? Just spoke to my wife Linda, she said NO ONE else cooks, SHE is the chef for the boombox meet, and if anyone wants to bring desert they can, Also she said she will make Lasagna for the next meet which should make Ira happy.

And we are good for June 4-5 next year if that is the date we decide. Just have to reserve the clubhouse.

That sounds great just let me know for sure so I can make reservations early, I will be there for the first if god permits it, I will fly to the meeting as I would to drive I would have to drive round trip, And I would be very tired to enjoy the party, So I will fly together with my wife , my 2 kids, And ofcourse some of my boomboxes with some deserts .

you come from California, hang with us for 2 days than go to Universal or Sea world or something

I think this is to important to do online. I propose a meeting first week of November at the club house to test the Lasagna under fall weather conditions and a bunch of one piece boxes as your collection bring alongs to work out table set up logistics & procedures for future meets.
