Geezum crow! Love your work Hugo. And that radio too. It's pure classic.
I'm almost certain it never made it down to .au, so I'm going to have little
chance of getting one outside of here.

Anyone got one to sell? Please keep me in mind.

Rock On.

G.E. Blockbuster > Realistic

To me, the Blockbuster seemed to have a little bit better bass response probably because the woofers had a longer "throw." They are both nice sounding boxes at low to mid volumes. Neither one sounds good more than half way - too shrilly.

ok - thanks :surf:
---------------------------
when it gets to the last half of the dial = high volume -
then all these medium size boxes --
imho-
collapse and distort like ugly-- :-O
that even includes the supa/dupa sanyo 9994 and the aiwa 990

Great job, Patron!

I'm brave enough to open a box up and take woofers out to clean 'em and sometimes, move a few things around and put 'em back where they belong, but disconnecting wires and taking absolutely everything out... :-O :sadno:

Great job!!! And agree about the sound between the Blockbuster and SCR-8. (That's why I unloaded my SCR-8 on an unsuspecting Ira!)

Seriously, when the Blockbuster is cleaned up they look great. Bobby cleaned up mine before the '08 meet. And since he has it (on vacation in Tennessee) now I hope he gives it a once over again. But I'm afraid he'd forget to take the guts out before using the hose.
