pc55 550 belt change

well it had to happen sooner than later lol.
i melted the belt in my550 today player a pouges tape cranked up.
anyone ever change the belts in one of these. how hard was it to do .

Yes Bill,I have change belts on these decks a couple of times. It is not an easy job at all.
There is a lot of wires and flat ribbon wire bundles to deal with. :annoyed:
But,since there is only one belt it is easy to route once you gain access to the inside of the cassette mechanism.

i mean i think i will take this one into the cool japanese guy on the north shore. i have had him do stuff for me before and he is really good and reasonable.
