I'm not a very active collector nowerdays - I mainly sell what boomboxes I have and don't consider essential to my collection. I am lucky to have several very nice boomboxes and don't have big ambitions acquiring certain other models anymore. So for a while I didn't think I'd ever get that elusive BB40 which is the one I really love just by its aesthetics. But thanks to two fellow collectors and long-time contacts I have been able to get a BomBeat 40! So big shoutout to Peter who helped me get a Master Blaster for trading and Mauricio who has sent me this beautiful Tosh from the other end of the world

It really is a beauty. I picked one up recently too and like you I thought I’d never get one. Really pleased to have it. Congrats!

Nice to see you around Zippy. Your BB40 looks to be in nice shape. It has all the right curves in all the right places.

One antenna isn't complete, so if anyone has a spare let me know :-D
But yeah, it's in great shape and a real eye-catcher. It's a tad smaller than many other top tier big boy boomboxes but the thick chrome rings on the dark grey cabinet really make it stand out.
