New to the community

Never knew there was a community for vintage stereos and boomboxes! Glad to join. Now all I need is my first box. I have a 90s Baby Boom Box, which got me interested, but I need something more legit.



I'm looking for a mini box that can play metal tapes, dolby is a plus but not necessary. It seems like all the boxes on ebay are either not working, or the sellers are asking WAY too much. Any advice? I really like the look of the Sanyo M7xxx series but I guess everyone does, because they are pricey!

As far as finding a boomer. keep your eyes on local flea markets, garage sales and even your local thrift shops.

Thanks! I hit up local goodwills and thrift shops often. Living in Los Angeles they are usually picked clean of anything interesting so I have to drive pretty far out of the city to get to the good stuff. I bring a couple tapes to test things out and an air can as well.
