Since cassettes are a huge part of our hobby, I thought I'd mention this here...

http://www.phxaudiotape.com

A forum member at http://www.tapeheads.net is starting up an audio accessory website, which will include cassettes and belts. He even found a substantial stash of high end metal tape stock and the proper notched metal shells and will be selling what is basically new metal c-60's very soon. (C-90's are not available because the tape stock is too thick, which is IMHO a good sign to the quality). I believe his Phoenix metal C-60s will sell for $7 each, which I think is pretty reasonable for a virgin metal cassette tapes. IIRC, that's really about the same price that standard Maxell or TDK metal cost back in the 80's and early 90's.( Anyone remember?)

Anyway, samples of the tapes are getting great reviews in the tapehead forum, and some of those guys are exceptionally critical about their tapes...

(BTW, I also mention boomboxery at that forum every chance I get...)
