I guess you might say the sickness has spread! LOL... We're waist deep right now in the restoration of my son's C100F. Saw this on ebay today and couldn't not buy it! LOL. Much cheaper than his so there you have it. I'm hoping she can be resurrected.

"This is the original C100F by Conion. The item is for parts / not working.

I was not able to get the item to power on and there is overall wear to the item. The volume knob is broken off, the antenna is broken off, the back battery case part is not present. There are some scratches and overall wear as seen in the pictures.

This is the original C100F , not a knockoff. It will need a restoration and some work.

Given the size of the item, will not be accepting returns on this one. Please see pictures and understand the condition of the item."

Hi Dave. The plan is to try and breath life into it again. If anything changes I'll let you know. :)

I saw this. Stared at it for a few days and just about pulled the trigger. I figured that no power could be a simple fix but then again it could end up very bad. And if I got another one of these I knew I'd be sleeping outside so

Glad it found a good home with talent and ability to get it going. I'm sure it will need restored but hopefully the power issue is just a dirty AC switch or DC power plug. Either one in addition to a fuse would be the first place to start when it comes in.

It's unusual to see one priced that low on eBay. Especially with a door.

Hey Transistorized! Thanks for the well wishes. I've searched the forum for threads concerning no power and couldn't find any. Appreciate your input... "Hopefully the power issue is just a dirty AC switch or DC power plug. Either one in addition to a fuse would be the first place to start when it comes in."

For a newb like me would you mind pointing out the locations of the AC switch and DC power plugs? I know where the fuse is fortunately! LOL

As for the price I thought it was unusual to. It looked unmolested for the most part so I felt comfortable rolling the dice. Still, the $$ invested is already adding up. I can see how the spending can get out of hand. Here's what I've spent on it so far..

Boombox Price + Shipping $444.31
Original Battery Door $82.60
Tape Storage Drawer Trim $30.00
Antennas $15.86

Power Cord $5.75
Belts $24.00

Total $602.52

If the power issue turns out to be simple fix and the rest just needs the usual TLC then I'll feel like I did pretty good. I'm looking for replacement knobs now. Still don't have access to the For Sale section here so looking forward to checking there down the road as well! :)

Sometimes the power issues can be linked to the deck being stuck half way in play mode , or a power board issue . either way it will eventually be solved because this box has a dedicated group of people that have seen it all with these boxes.

The box arrived today! The seller packaged it to the max which I certainly appreciate. It took me a total of four minutes to find the power problem! First I plugged it in with a new power cord and got nothing. Next I worked the toggle back and forth on the AC switch, plugged it back in and got nothing. I removed the rear cover tested the fuse and VOILA! Dead as a door nail. Put in a replacement and WHAM!!!!! Everything works and it sounds freakin phenominal! AMAZING POWER!!!!

I can hear the motor on Tape 1 running and the cassette door won't open. Been there with my son's box so I know exactly what to do thanks to the help I've received here on the forum! Anyone know which plug or harness powers Tape 1? I'd like to unplug that temporarily to make sure my power button is 100%..... With it running the box won't turn off although the tuner dial light will turn off with the power switch off. Glad I rolled the dice on this bish! :)

If the box won't turn off its because the deck is stuck in play mode.
I wouldn't run it much until you rebelt the decks.
