Since I still have a bunch of 8-tracks I was hoping to find a boom box that looks the part in silver. I think the only one I found is made by Montgomery Ward but of the specimens I found they are rough. Anyone have a decent one they want to part with?

Bill was gracious to offer his for sale but I told him I had my eye on an eBay one. Reason being is that these radios are hard to find in clean condition and I really didn't want him to part with it. I did win the auction tonight and scored this clean unit for $63. I think I did very well. Supposedly it is in full working order and needs nothing.

I didn't stop there. I had my eye on this blockbuster for some time now and offered less than the asking price. I paid just under $250 for this shipped. This one will need the cassette repaired. Cosmetically looks really nice which is my priority over anything else.  I almost took a lower offer accepted on a Sharp VZ-2000 but after spending this much in a day I kind of held back. Not sure if a non working sharp is worth $500 plus shipping.

I was listening to one posted by a guy on YouTube. I don't think they have much bass if at all, but I loved the look of it and it worked so it was a buy!

Forgot to post a pic of the Wards radio. Looks really clean, works perfectly, but alas, as I thought, the sound quality is more of a transistor radio! These weren't high end boxes. I love the look and it will fit nicely in the collection.

I like some of Wards offerings.
