Hello guys. I wanted to adjust the speed out of my boombox's motor. Unfortunatley the classic way with with turning on the little screw behind the motor dosent work. It only stops the motor from spinning when I try to put a screwdriver in. Any help on adjusting the motor speed?

It might have a speed control mounted on a nearby board , you have to trace the wires from the motor back to see if the lead to a control pot . I can't guarantee that's the case but I've seen these on many boomboxes.

That motor has two holes , have you tried the other one?.

The screwdriver must be tiny sometimes they dont even do anything because you actually need a smaller screwdriver.

I didnt try the middle one. But the other one only stops the motor instead of adjusting the speed. I will try on the middle one.

Nope. Its not the middle either. So I was thinking of swapping up the motor with a Fisher Sannyo ones I have laying around.

Hello guys. So I have finally calibrated the speed of my boombox. As JVC Floyd mention on the first reply on the topic, there was a small regulator on the motherboard for adjusting the motor speed. According to the schematic of the Sharp WQ-T351 the speed regulator is named as :VR501
