Its stunning ! Ferranti radiogram srg1143 for a mere £10 from my local tip / refuse centre was gonna be smashed up !

it was made in london uk 1965 and is all together - even has all of its paperwork still and mics ! Needs some new valves / tubes and maybe a new drive wheel for the turntable but that's it , just a good clean and service ! Polishes up really nice with beeswax polish as you can see

I read that you rescued a Ferrari!

I bet that Ferranti sounds so lovely. My parents used to have an old Magnavox console with radio in the middle, phono on the right, and record storage on the left. It had a nice, warm sound and plenty of bass for the time.

Very nice!!! I think all our parents owned a console stereo. I remember inheriting it back in like 1980 for a while. Jamming to my albums!!!

Woah - this is great news! I just love these old radiograms/stereograms/whatever, useful furniture and a great sound to boot - if I had more room I'd get one in next to no time (but a ginormous one  :-D ). Good save, especially for a mere tenner!
