Thought I would somehow make my hobby a company

And felt there was a need

I have filled one floor with parts and everyday

I sell 2 or 3 parts but this still doesn't make ends meet

and I am unable to keep going

I spend too much time buying selling and shipping

And although I make some money

It is unfortunately not more than the rent I can get for the floor I use for this

I will try to help out

But my dream of a big parts seller in Japan have gone

Hey!  Sorry you're having a tough go of it.  I should be bold here & suggest that maybe your prices for parts are a bit high, especially for a cheap crowd like the Boomboxery site.  Nobody here wants to spend any money.  I had a tape door for an 838 for sale here for $15 plus shippiong & had lots of interest until the shipping cost put the total north of 40 bucks US.  Not my fault but I refuse to give it away for free since I paid for a parts box to make my 838 whole...Maybe lowering your prices at least temporarily & advertising as a sale might get movement.

Good luck... :-D

I already bought parts from you - i always felt that the prices were great - personally I would‘ve paid even more and would not hesitate to pay higher prices, but I understand that peoples pockets are tight around the world.

Sad to hear that it does not work out the way you had planned - but I want to thank you for the great effort, great packaging and all around great communication and helpfulness.

Will you keep on selling until everything is gone or just stop right away?

I'm sorry to read your decision.
Never disappointed with my purchases on eBay, good advice, competitive prices, shipping costs to France cheap.
Although I read in this post, your prices are very affordable and cheaper than most other sellers on EBay.
Do you think of another storage tyoe to reduce costs and increase your prices?
otherwise I'm interested in helping you to unstore.

never give up GEOFF

taking photos and making an auction for each part certainly takes a lot of time.

Maybe, to save time, you could create one auction with all your Sharp parts, or all your Hitachi parts, etc

And there would be a toggle switch showing each part

If people want photos they could contact you

I’ve also bought various parts from Geoff and have been thoroughly impressed with his service.

I think there is probably more money in selling complete boxes than parting them out.

Just like others on the forum I have purchased from Geoff, always a pleasant transaction, always reasonable priced.

However, I would doubt that there is enough of us around the world to buy spares to make a living from selling spares, and I know how much time goes into ebay sales and how much grief it can cause.

Thanks all

Didn't see all these mails as I didn't follow my own post

this all happened when I drank to much pissed her off

And I was like OK ill stop it all put up this post and finish my life all seemed to be some way to hurt her at the time

Yea the parts sell I just am having trouble explaining to the wife why I need to have this many boomboxes

In the past i confused what was going on with slight of hand

All my bad

I have a vision she does not understand

need to say Im sorry  all is good now

And really have had no problem with price and buyers and doing what I do

All was me and how I deal with my partner

I am now getting back in the good books

Business as usual and yes this is not enough to keep me going and I am thinking how to do that

Maybe need to stop buying for a while

As for GF 565 doors should have them

are they black ones

Pm me

Regards to all and sorry for my drunken post

And I will try to sail smooth with my wife in these difficult early 50's
