These are from White Mart, a chain of stores in Minnesota and North Dakota that were gone by the end of the '80s thanks to K-Mart and Target. Spent a lot of tape money there.

And a 1987 ad for a rent-a-blaster from WLOL, one of the two main pop stations in the Twin Cities metro back then, and broadcasted Casey Kasem's weekly countdown.

Seeing these pics makes me want to go back in time to see original BB displays in all their glory. I have a feeling that I may have given the mono boxes little more than a cursory glance at the time but, seeing these displays now, I'd love to go back in time for another look but taking more time on this trip to linger just a little longer, paying my respects. :yes: :rock:

Looks like they took those in summer '82. The "Album of the Week" wall has Eye of the Tiger up there

Oh, wow! I remember those Old Time Radio cassettes. I had one with an old Abbott and Costello radio program. I might still have it. Hmmm...
