Thank you very much for adding me to your online community!

I will introduce myself.  My name is Wayne and I am from Saskatchewan Canada.  I am a child of the 80's and the nostalgic bug has bit very hard of late.  Boomboxes (or ghetto-blasters as they are known here) have caught my interest and i am starting to look for one or more to rescue from the dump.   I must say that i feel i am a little late to this party as many i have seen locally or on ebay come with a hefty price tag.  Any ways if i cant find one i like i may have to Frankenstein one together.  Lol

Anyways, thanks again for adding me!

Welcome aboard, Wayne!  Don't let those prices on ebay get you down.  Those Russian sellers with those insane prices are not the norm.  The good thing about being in Canada... boomboxes seem to grow on trees up your way, so you shouldn't have too much trouble locating one.

Well I hope so...i was quoted $400 for a JVC RM70 and $800 for a Conion C-100f.  Not sure if those are ok prices but steep for me.

Hi Wayne and welcome.

If those two boxes are in good condition and working order the M70 is maybe about right but can found a lot cheaper if you are patient.

The c100 on the other hand seems a really good price.

Ok thank. That's probably out of my price range. Will hit the garage sales hard this season!
