What's up from Cali, kinda... Deployed right now.

Just picked up my first box while on my deployment. Went to the swap meet about 40 min from base and found a sharp 5p-37e in ehhhh ok condition?

I have been to a lot of swap meets with my pops and he's always been on the look out for boomboxes. I saw this one and couldn't pass it up. Haven't powered it up yet and I know a few knobs on top need some work and the play button is stuck.

I don't know if it was a good find/deal. But I thought it was cool. Hope I find some good information about the box from here. You all seem really knowledgeable here and can't wait to get this thing running.

to forum. Yes, this Sharp is good start. This forum is the best choice to find different info about boomboxes.

Welcome aboard! You will find that with most any radios you pick up, there will be some work needed to get them right again. This includes making your own parts or seeing if someone here or online has any. Best of luck!

Thanks for the welcome! I finally put some batteries it it and it works! TV and all. Opened up the back and it is super dirty. I'm going to have to take it back to the States an give it a full clean up. It will be a nice little project. Wish it was a little cleaner but I intend to use it a lot.
