Ah yes, good to hear,I saw a video of 2 kids trying to operate a Sharp GF-700 3-Piece and it was hilarious but they figured it out and got the cassette going. Plus I know more newer artists are using some cassettes like Selena Gomez put out a limited edition cassette.

In the US cassettes held on against CDs until 2002. CDs had been around a great while and people were still buying tapes in 2000. Mainly it was because of the cost savings. I have found that the lovely compact discs I have purchased and toted around in my CD storage case have not faired as well as my tapes. They may be able to produce better quality sound but I have found them to be less durable than cassette over the years.

Don't have to tell me. Old school rap tapes are ridiculous on discogs.com right now. Many Wu-tang, Tribe Called Quest, Tupac's going for $35+ right now.

Thanks for the links!

Now to go on eBay and find a Yamaha tape deck to match my RX2050 stereo :) I need to bury the expense on one of our contracting jobs to keep this one hidden from Marie ;)

It would be nice to find a cassette player/recorder that not only transfers to USB but from USB to cassette. I found this one but its only a cassette to USB.
I don't know if it records in Stereo...

GPO Brooklyn. Might not necessarily make a high quality recording with it's fixed erase magnet but it will go both ways :-)
I looked at that unit. Unfortunately until it grows on me, I find it to be very cheap looking. I am happy someone is trying to produce mass market boombox styles again but they need to sharpen their pencils a little better.
