Ok lets begin I'm getting the following for my PC:

Schiit SYS preamp: http://www.schiit.com/products/sys

Schiit Modi 3 DAC: http://www.schiit.com/products/modi-1

I have a pair of Edifier 1280T active speakers: https://www.edifier.com/int/en/speakers/studio-1280t-2.0-powered-bookshelf

My question is I'm planning to add the Polk PSW108 active subwoofer: https://www.polkaudio.com/products/psw108

The Edifiers does not have a sub out and the preamp only has 1 output. Can I use a Y adapter connected to the preamp output to split the signal so it can run to the sub and main speakers?

Also the sub does not have outputs.

I think using the Y adapter and connect it in the manner I mentioned above should work, but I would like an opinion from someone else so that I can be assured that I won't damage the equipment.

BTW the company name is actually Schiit!! LoL

Y adapters never hurt any thing , people been using those for years in every application imaginable.
For sure Floyd.

I never done such an application besides I'm also curious as to how much will this degrade the sound. It's stuff like that you would like to know.

It's all about the specs!

The most you might suffer is signal degradation because you're splitting the signal strength in half with the Y cable.

I appreciate you Floyd for taking time in helping.

Just watched the movie Skyscraper and it sounded really good.
