Interesting read.

Thanks docs for posting this. Took me back to a time when you expressed yourself on the New York City Transit Line.

I remember seeing Blades blow ups on the train cars. He was one of the many artists back then.

Those days you had others like United Artist, Duster, Sin, Wild Style, Futura 2000 just to name a few.

I remember in the early 80's seeing a train car having a large blow up of United Artist aka (Seen) expressing himself with a message kinda politically and poetic. I wish I had a camera that blow up was one for the books.

And then there was the famous one of Dick Tracy and the other which I believe was a green duck or lizard character. Oh and yes the Marvel characters too!!

There were some that never became known and had talent to do some beautiful blow ups.

As for me I was more of a freestyle tagger. Never had the talent of doing blow ups with a spray can.


I actually found this online it is an interview with original artist that created the famous green duck or lizard which has a name. This character was used by many graffiti artists.
