First setup (w/ the TRC-931) is my Pioneer SX-880 receiver, Dual 1015 Idler Drive TT, and Sony TC-K700es 3-head deck. Speakers are highly modified Dayton B652 AIRs and a small Canton Sub. The records in the display are R thru Z in my collection, along with my 6-eye Columbia Jazz stuff, Spanish Guitar, and Soundtracks. BTW, I found the Lasonic locally for $50, old man who owned stated he bought it at Montgomery Wards in 1986. It never held batteries and he never used the tape players. It required new belts (SBS-16 for the top, SBS 4.6/5.1 for deck B).

Next setup (left to right) is a Denon DP-51 TT, Nakamichi 680 cassette, Elac 50H II TT, and Pioneer SX-950 receiver. The blank spot between the Denon and Nak was where my Pioneer RT-707 R2R was (just sold it). Speakers (not pictured) are Klipsch Heresy II's (recapped) and a Dayton SB-1000 powered sub.

Cassettes are alphabetical, top of first rack are all sealed blanks (Chrome, Metal, and Reel Cassettes). Enjoy and thanks for having me!

Joe

Yep, that does it for me!  I love all things (well, most) audio and your collection doesn't disappoint.  Thanks for sharing this.

That's a nice setup!  I'm really impressed that Arcadia's "So Red the Rose" is framed.  That's a great album.

It's the actual album. Everything poster is original. Every album posted is a duplicate of an original pressing that I own. Believe it or not, almost everything (equipment wise) has changed; added a Nakamichi BX-300, gave my son the entire system under the Lasonic, and added the most beautiful Elac Miracord TT to my setup (very rare) 50H II w/studio 3100 complete rosewood case. Also added (3) 70/80's earphones (original boxes) to the display (btw, cheap painted sugar skulls are killer for display).

The black units with the records in: Is this one of the Ikea units I frequently see with different combinations of openings in them? and is there any sag?

Zero sag after 10 years. The 4x4 is Ikea, the 2x2 (next to the 4x4) and the 4x2 are Walmart (ikea) clones for those not in close proximity to an Ikea. They are identical in every way to the Ikea shelves. Also the Ikea 4x4 in the pic has a desk attachment from Ikea that is holding my computer, but makes 4 of the cubicles almost unusable.

Many thanks, just what I was hoping to hear.

Hi, there. Do those audiocassette storage wall units each hold twenty encased cassettes per column? You definitely had to have had the wooden units firmly mounted so there's just about no chance of a crash-ka-blam, with those hundreds of tapes smashing to the floor one peaceful morning (or at night, when folks need their beauty sleep Attached File  alarm-clock-3.gif   24.53K   17 downloads). But, again, no real worries.

Those home stereo components -- the Sony reference deck, the two Pioneer receivers and the Dual turntable -- all look solid and ready to please. (Ever test the 16RPM function of the Dual? :-D)

All in all, looks cozy. Thanks for sharing.

Believe it or not I use (as seen on tv) Hercules hooks to hold those, they're not going anywhere (each hook, I use 2, holds up to 150lbs). I'm trying to locate wall space to hang another 100 rack, I've been busy buying cassettes on Discogs (got some great deals of stuff I can't find locally). The decks not consist of Nakamichi BX-300, Nak 680, and Sony TC-K700es. The Dual is gone, filled in by a very rare Elac Studio 3100 (complete rosewood, even deck lid).
