Very cool. I was just thinking of picking up an old Aurex deck with adres noise reduction, this new player sounds much more exciting.

I think its definitely seeing a surge as a format. I visited a second hand shop recently that i always check for boxes and hifi and they had no tape decks except one Kenwood double deck, they normally have at least half a dozen. When i asked where they had all gone she said that lately her hubby cannot get enough of them and they sell very quickly.

I prefer cassettes , I listen to them every day . I'm not surprised that people are snatching up cassette decks on the cheap . I regret ever throwing away a cassette deck because they just aren't making them like they used to .

I like it if it plays cassettes but if it's another format im not interested, it looks promising though :thumbsup:

As I see it, the device plays HiRes -audio and can record it on a tape. So saying HiRes TO a tape would be correct but HiRes FROM a tape, well, that depends on many things :D

There seems to be a switch for normal/high, but specs say no high bias recording...
