Hello All

Recently got myself a Sharp WF-939 !

The sound is amazing, full dyanmic range, minimal distortion - even when volume is push up...in the process of cleaning her up...but need some help when it comes to the tape decks.

Both tape decks run fine, however both decks run slightly too slow for my liking. I've taken her apart briefly and taken a look at the motors and belts and they all seem in order...any ideas / guide of bringing them back to the right speed, would be much appreciated ?

Look forward to hearing from you soon.

Thanks, kidofthe80s

Check the back of the motor. There might be a small 1/8th inch hole in the back with a rubber cover. If the hole is present, insert a small bladed screw driver in there and adjust the motor. Also consider that maybe the decks need lubrication. Grease that has dried up and turned sticky might put extra strain on the motor or tape transport assembly
