Hi all. Hoping to get a fresh angle for a problem I'm having with my vz-3000.

When I received this unit it basically wasn't working.
Turntable didnt spin up
No eject
No sound
Only things that worked was the green dial led and the cassette functions

In the process of fixing it, I've managed to fix the belts and the eject mechanism, and even got distorted sound from the record player but some how during testing, the led for the tuner dial has gone..
I've tested the 4 power outputs from the power supply and it's close enough to spec.. And I've 80%sure I have power to the tuner board where the led is fed from..
I'm also almost certain it's not a blown led as I'm not getting power at the board where the led is fed from.
I'm assuming also the power amp still works as I get a feedback noise when I touch the contacts of the volume knob and the volume of the feedback is adjustable with the knob..
A hidden fuse I'm overlooking?
Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance

Hi.
This is not led, its oldskool bulb, and probably its burned out. This issue is normal, item is approx 37 year old already..
You can buy a 3mm diameter, 5mm long, 12v green bulb and replace it.

**solved**

Misread one of the 4 outputs (25v) on the power supply.. Turned out r701 which is a fused resistor was open circuit.
We have power again... But alot of contact cleaning needed on the source selection switches as you need to depress them on funny angles to get the sound clear...
Almost there...

Also need speaker surrounds..
