Does anybody have information about this boombox? I can't seem to find anything about it online other than the fact that it was a pretty expensive boombox. Is it rare? How much could it be worth in good/great condition?
It was pretty expensive in what market? And what does pretty expensive mean? In US dollar figures for whatever year this unit was sold. I for one have never heard of Candle as a electronics/ radio brand. I don't pretend to have heard of all of them either though.pumaea81 said:Does anybody have information about this boombox? Just a new member trying to talk up the value of a box he’s trying to sell.neanderthal said:It was pretty expensive in what market? And what does pretty expensive mean? If this radio has phenomenal sound or some really outstanding features, it might be worth something. Otherwise it looks like a decently styled small to mid size 3 piece boombox, which doesn't mean anything. There were a lot of decently styled 3 piece boomboxes, some of which had terrific sound, others of which were ... "meh."

Because this forum's existence is not for that purpose. Post #10 & #11 pretty much expresses that sentiment and if you read between the lines, you can pretty much tell that what they are saying is from experience since you aren't the first person to join for the purpose of using the forum only to ascertain value on an item to sell, and then not participate or contribute. If their presumption is wrong, keep in mind that nobody here knows that you are a collector, or that you have 15 boomboxes since you never even posted an introduction or participated before this. As to how you would know that asking for FMV of an item is off limits.... well pinned in the first couple of threads under Rules & FAQs is a thread specifically addressing "what is my boombox worth." Had you read it, you would have known this.pumaea81 said:1,2,3,4 or 5 posts, it doesn't really matter. Why bash on a new member just looking for the FMV of his newly acquired boombox?
