What do you think the best 3 piece boombox is? I am partial to the Panasonic rx-c100. Its not just a good looking boombox but it also performs well in all areas.

Best is subjective; needs a more precise definition.

Yes.
I’m sure there are a lot of great sounding ones but looks and charisma are important as well.
However I only own the Panny C100 and WX1 out of 120 odd boxes. There’s a G.E with needle VU’s that looks nice I wouldn’t mind having.

I agree it is subjective, but I love to see everybody's opinions.

Yep the RX 6400 is the true biggest loudest old skool box .
I just wish somebody would build a one piece cabinet for these .

Just as Reli said the Telefunken Studio 1M.IMG_2514-1.jpg

Also the Telefunken HP800. 47974616.jpg?2

Both in my opinion are bedroom boxes they're not loud boxes but at a decent listening level they produce great bass and highs, Especially the HP800's highs are so crispy.

Panasonic RX-DT680 is another but the circuitry goes bad on these.

I have to agree with Reli and Ford.

The Telefunken Studio and Studio 1M and HP800 are the best I've ever heard/owned.

Nope this fh 7 is ac only unless you have the battery pack which is super rare.
Plus though powerful I think it sounds flatter than a pancake , not horrible but the PC 55 smokes the shiat out of it for sound quality .

I did replace the fh 7 woofers with some high end old skool hafler 4 inch woofers and the speakers sound much better now.
