The Diamondboxx is not Boombox at all because it has no tuner. The Bumpboxx has a single FM chip design which is a step in the right direction but (at least for their earlier models) they mostly fit in the Bluetooth category. Mainly because instead of being able to listen to Q104.3 stationed out of New York, you are only able to pick up STAT-IC stationed out of Nowhere. Maybe this is better on the latter models?trippy1313 said:+1 vote for Bluetooth speaker category.
I totally agree Norm. I could even let it slide as a boombox if it even had a simple fm tuner. But just Bluetooth, no.
Nope, same tuner issues on the V3.Maybe this is better on the latter models?
Thats a fair point Jimmy. I guess on this site it really doesn't fit in with what many, maybe not all, consider a "boombox."jimmyjimmy19702010 said:Back in the day, we used to call them ‘radio cassettes’, not boomboxes.
Now everything is called a Boombox - Barbie eggs, single speaker mono pocket sizes boxes. I even saw a Walkman called a Boombox on an EBay listing.
I wouldn’t bother getting too hung up on what’s the true definition of a Boombox to the modern world and it’s inhabitants.
