I have been cleaning out my grandfathers house and i came across a m50jw. i know nothing about boom boxes and was wondering if this is really worth anything. From what ive been reading it is nothing compared to the 70 or 90, but still desirable? everything works the only flaw is the missing antenna. any knowledge would be appreciated

thank you

Yep it’s worth something. Values vary hugely depending on condition, functionality, which country you’re in, with a large amount of randomness thrown in. If you’re just after the best cash just chuck it on eBay, that’s always the best way to maximise value.

Unless you’re in the UK, don’t want much for it, and just want it to go to a good home then sell it to me lol

Are you trying to sell it or just find out what its worth?.

If you look on eBay that will give you a base line on what these are selling for or at least the average price.

Why not keep it or are you just not interested in it , I think most of us would be happy to have a nice JVC m50.

Search "completed listings" on ebay.
Then divide by half.
Then subtract shipping.

What city are you near?
Sell to closest member

I would shine it up and put it on eBay . you might get more for it if you replace the antenna.
Figure out the price you want then place a buy it now on it and see what happens , I would also be open to best offers just to keep it interesting for the buyers.

Wow. Someone had their way with the antenna. Probably in a tree outside his house...

Otherwise seems decent in shape. How is the battery compartment?

I don’t know why Ebayers join this site just to sell stuff. This is the last place I’d try and get top dollar for a non-grail box!

We’re all about ‘road side freebies and flee market cheapies’ !!

How is the battery compartment?

This will affect value if batteries have leaked inside
