Would first like to thank all the guys on this site for contributing to a fantastic community. It's been amazing how much I've learned and how quickly I have become addicted to this scene.
A bit about me:
I'm 36, male from Victoria Australia. Im an electrician and love tinkering around with electronics and various teardown/build up hobbies.
Music wise I really dislike what's playing on the radio. My love is really the old school stuff. I love my disco, soul funk, jazz, hip hop etc
Where it began:
I was walking around a market one Sunday morning when out of the corner of my eye I spotted a very cool looking, but very very very neglected 'boombox'. It was banged up dirty chipped and in a very sorry state.. So I decided to walk on until I stopped in my tracks and decided to turn back to ask what he wanted for it thinking it would be a nice restoration project.
Guy want $20 with no idea if it worked, so I offered $5...soldðŸ˜
Got home and went hunting for a service manual online then this site came up, and told me that I just bought the iconic JVC M70.
Since then in under a week I've also bought a pioneer sk-757 and a Phillips d-8803 elephant
HOOKED!
I'll post up some pictures soon.
