What is the best way to clean corroded battery terminals?

Just wanted to see what you all think is the best chemical/way to clean corroded battery terminals and springs?

I soak them in apple cider vinegar for a day or so, then use a wire brush to knock off any remaining chunks.

Yes! Then use a wire brush like caution mentioned! I used the rotary tool brass wire brush on the contacts. Springs are a little bit of struggle with hands.

For the actual metal corroded parts from battery acid use 70% "Isoproprol rubbing Alchohol. Learned this one in Electronics class. May eat Plastics so be forwarded!

I'm lazy, so I have used sand paper, but that's really not a good solution. Because it takes the nickle plating off the spring which will just lead to rusting later on.

I will have to try these aforementioned chemical solution's. Certainly better than my lazy way!
