dead horse: record player doesnt play vz-2000

the motor was tested and it functions out side of the harness.
not when it is hooked up to the harness.
the play switch is tested (continuity test)
power is getting to the motor.

it seems there are a ton of (safety)switches for the motor to function. there is one at the door, one at the "foot" where the spring is, some sort of sensor in the record compartment.

what should i be looking for?

i havent identified these switches yet. where exactly are they?

the other phono switches seem to work, the cartidge pulley motor works. new belts on the phono drive and cartridge puller motor.

The thing I identified on mine that I need to get around to is a crack on the record player PCB. If you look near the screw that holds it in place, the PCB is prone to cracking at that point. Could cause any manner of problem.
