There are a handful of Russians and Ukranians who seem to take pride in having the highest priced boombox auctions at any given time. Perhaps they want to be seen by people who sort their search by highest price first. Or maybe it's an ego thing.
Eventually they'll remove those auctions and lay low for 3-4 months, then re-list them at a lower but still very high price. Gullible people will buy them thinking it's a good deal because they remember seeing one listed for more money 3-4 months ago.

I'd stay away from those auctions since there is a very good chance of in-transit damage due to poor packing. Or undisclosed damage and "coincidental" poor packaging in that particular area
