Why are original JVC boombox shoulder straps so rare?

Hello everyone,

Just wondering if anyone could shed some light on why exactly it is neer impossible to find any of the original JVC boombox shoulder straps on ebay. In the just under two years ive been closely monitoring ebay, I've only once seen a jvc boombox come with a original strap.

Luckly for me i was able to get it for a good price. ( the unit needed lots of work)



Did these straps come with the boomboxes, or did you have to buy them seperately? If you had to buy them seperatly, then was there some kind of limited supply?

Well aware these are two of the straps i got reciently from him damn nice!

but yea i still was just kind of wondering exactly why the originals are so hard to find. Even if they are very sought after, I've never seen one listed.

Probably just got thrown away with the box.

My 838 has a black strap. Guessing it's the original

I almost bought that JVC 838 just for the original strap. Who knows why they are so rare. You might not see another one listed for years!

Probably because they got moldy after being stored in a garage or basement for years
