Bought 2 Paradigm speakers that will be modified to fit like the original speakers. Fittting the original front grills Is the real chalange. The reason for this project is the bass missing with the original speakers. The Paradigm produces incridible bass and amazing overall sound.
Will I call it a Pana-digm or a Para-sonic boombox now? 😜IMG_2779.JPG

I've seen incredible difference in sound quality when we switch to better speaker brands. My VZ3500 sounds like a $8000 music system with Infinity IL10 speakers.

Just finished this custom. A Conion C100FF painted White Diamond Pearl. Just put the fresh chrome trim on the tweeter covers today. This color works very well on the C100.

Now that I'm back for a couple of weeks I can get cracking with some boxes that need fixing.

First up is a Sony FH7 that doesn't work that I picked up this morning from a friend. If anyone knows what's going on and can help, I've started a new thread in the SONY section. link https://boomboxery.com/forum/index.php/topic/27274-sony-fh7-mk1-ac-78-psu/

Also, my Sanyo MX920k has developed a fault, TAPE and RADIO are completely silent (although LINE IN still works). Same again, if anyone can give me some input as to what to look for I'll get it back to her former glory.

Ta!

I came by this beater RX-5100F (nice International version) but gave up due to rat's nest inside :-)
I forgot that those use simulated mesh grilles actually being pressed plastic of the front case. Dirt cleaned up pretty well with pressure washer but there is too much irreversible damage to the case. Ended up buying another RX-5100F with decent case shape.
