The old joke about Japanese production standards:

An American computer company was looking to outsource their production to Japan.

They've found a Japanese manufacturer and agreed on price, for the following specification:
"10,000 units at 99.9% quality assured"

The Japanese received the order and in due time shipped the goods with the following note:
"Dear client, we've produced the computers as per your specification. We did not understand
why you required to produce 10 faulty units, but we've made those for you, as instructed

I wish the Honda engine in the back of the McLaren F1 car was 99% quality assured

I wrote 99.9% initially and then decided to change to 99... Forgot I wrote 10k instead of 1000.
