Jesus my wifes parent and brother are in Cocoa Beach Florida and this has me worried. My thoughts go out to all our brothers down in Florida.

I called my friends and they say there is no way to get out. Cannot drive more than 10 MPH speed because of heavy traffic and also hard to get gas. If they try to get out they will get stuck somewhere on the way with no gas. They are all staying in their homes. No way to get out......and ready to face the worst!

You are absolutely right BBL48 the situation down here is not good.

I live in a mobile home and I have my fingers crossed. The rear of my home which faces north is boarded up. I've been through 70 MPH winds and survived as long as it's not consistent. She might hold on hopefully!! :'-(

This has been a bad year for me so far Prostate Cancer, Lost my mother last Saturday, Bladder Cancer again, and now this! WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No more three time Cancer survivor....................now is 4 time hopefully!

Thanks all for sending Florida your well wishes!

We'll be fine it's not the first time it happens here, there is no reason to panic just face it realistically, sadly too many people are busy thinking it's the end of the world and acting accordingly...

My aunt and uncle are hunkered down in Port Charlotte between Ft Meyers and Tampa....about 5 miles from Charlotte Harbor and about 20 miles from the coast. My Uncle refused to leave but had the means to do so. My aunt wanted to leave but wouldn't leave without my uncle. Super pissed at him right now.

Yeah, no need to stay when you can get out. My dad lives on the other side of the river in Punta Gorda. He took off for the Panhandle Thursday.

Hey my brothers We are doing good. We left yesterday morning because of living off west coast near Tampa and having mandatory evacuation.. We are pretty much safe in blakely Georgia.. I pray all the people of Florida and anywhere else will be safe. Thank you!!
