So I imported this from the states a year or two back. Sadly it was killed by a dodgy voltage step down unit and I was so pissed off I just put it away and left it.

Well I recently decided to fix or get rid of any non working boxes so stripped this down. Dave (docs) gave me the heads up that it was likely the amp chip and when I checked it was clearly knackered as it had a chunk blown out of the middle.

Luckily I have an SCR8 which is basically the same box so I swapped parts and hey presto it's perfect again! So I've ordered the replacement chip and will put that back in the SCR8 when it arrives from Germany.

As there's a bit of space in the unit and it has a proper line in I decided to Bluetooth it whilst I was in there.

So now it's my campervan box as it's compact, loud, and classic looking! Away in the van at the moment and it rocks. Well pleased :-)

Stunning, both view and box.

Nice to hear the bluetooth mod was a success Si, i am going to attempt it to so will shout for help if i get stuck.

Those blockys are so nice!

Yeh was not too bad to do so just ordered another 4 sets of bits to do others :-)

Well it was relatively easy on the Blocky as it was easy to find where to patch into the power. Gonna do the 767 next so let's see how that goes

Isn't there some ground loop noise?
I could only get rid of it by installing a DC-DC voltage converter
