This Lovely Sharp arrived today - BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!
100% working and in as near to Mint condition as you could get for a Boombox that is nearly 40 years old
This was top of "most wanted" list and was not easy to find in this condition - Had to pay a bit more than the the 25 Dollars paid by a fellow Boomboxery member back in 2013
Bank balance has taken a real hit!!!!!!
Still need to break the news to the wife about how much i paid for it
Note: Re - The Power lead
Most of my Boomboxes have the usual figure of 8 Power lead but the lead for the 9292 is a rectangle shape (See picture below)
Did a quick search on UK Amazon but could not find one of these. If anyone knows where i can get one in the UK let me know as i would like to keep a spare.
Looked at FDs AC Plug Types thread and i think it could be Number 1 but not 100% sure???
Would be interested to know if any member bought a 9292 brand new back in the day & how much they cost then?
When I bought my first 9191 and i think i paid £199 back in 1979
Would also be interesting to know how many where produced? (Well you never know, there may be someone who had an uncle that worked in the factory back then HaHa)
