Hi there - I used to collect boomboxes until 10 years ago & suddenly stopped. Sold all my stuff.

Now I'm back - guess i can't live without (at least 5 of) my radio(s).

I'm looking forward in finding parts, suggestions and help for technical issues and of course some great pictures of the collections on this very website.

ATM I have a Sharp GF-767H, 777Z & 999 - the only 3 out of my collection that classify as "boomboxes". I'm still on the hunt for these: M70 (had one back then - gosh, they're beautiful!), Toshiba WX-1 (never owned one - kind of a personal grail) and a Sanyo Big Ben.

Will update pictures soon - but first i need a slider cap for my 767..she looks naked without it :-D

Docs - i'm currently living in germany!

MyOhMy - my previous collection ranged from 30 to 40 boxes over the years. some examples:

Crown CSC-850 & SZ-5100

Sharp GF-6060,6161,9191,999

JVC RC M70, 550

Intersound/Promax j-747 (had 3 of em)

Aiwa TPR-series , Aiwa CS-series, Sony CFS-series

and so on..

I collected everything - now i'm only focusing on the boomboxes i really loved back then and those i never had. I don't want to hord them and be able to play everyone once in a while so i limited myself.

Im currently looking forward to purchase my first National RX-7200 - what a gorgeous boombox!

Welcome!
Since you're in Germany, try finding a Crown 980, it has more bass than the 850!
