Plays fine if you go to YouTube, so I think embedding is disabled or something

I really dig the layout, everything looks so crisp and shiny in 4K!

Well, what to say? Wonderful display of beauties, and congratulations on your excellent taste!
Now since seeing is believing, I must perforce see the mancave in the flesh at some point... :-)

Correct, had embedding off.

Nice to know someone was able to see it in actual 4K, man that is such a bitch to edit!

Yeah, could be the phone, when ever using licensed music, the owners have control of where it can be viewed

FARK!!! :jawdrop:

I clicked 'Play' then thought "I know this is going to be good so pressed 'Pause':

Full screen: Check.
Headphones on: Check.
Volume turned up: Check.
Press 'Play': Check.

WOW, whatta ride - I WAS THERE! What you have done is awesome, inspiring, creative and.....and....almost overwhelming. :hooray:

I love it and how cool is it to have enough space for a Dance Floor, huh? The motorcycle looks like is was created just tor this occasion and is befitting of this environment. My heart was all a-thumping in anticipation at the next visual revelation and, when the camera headed towards the fridge......I JUST KNEW IT! :-D

To me, this looks more like a Boom House than a Boom Room and makes my own efforts look very humble indeed.

Thank you, thank you very much indeed for sharing this through the excellent video you've also found time to produce.

:superduper: :dj: :beer2: :dj-party: :newyear: :drunk: :gathering: :beer2: ........................................................  :hooray:

Thank you for the kind words Christine. Believe it or not, I was thinking of you through this whole set up. Especially when I was building those selves. Most people know those aren't of the best quality, but once assembled they are quite rigid. It took me at least 3 hours each. Each one having to be assembled to fit each boombox size. Total Pain in the arse, build, tear apart, build, tear apart. but I stayed calm thinking "MyOhMy hand crafted wooden shelving from scratch, you can do this!!!!"

I also remembered "Handles Up", but if I would have done that I would have lost 1/5th of my space. Some are handles up, but the best I could do :-/

Glad you enjoyed the ride, when I first saw this room I could envision the whole space.

Yes, nice to have a dance floor, but since I don;t dance, maybe I need shopping isles with shelving for more radios! :w00t:  :-D

Improvements are already being made....I found this cool curio cabinet at a 2nd hand store for 30 euro. I had extra shelves, so I cut one down, used metal to box in the corners for strength and built it into my shelving. Now I have space for some of my smaller 80's trinkets and walk mans. Gonna look for more of these cabinets.

Until shelf construction begins issues like a handles up or down display don't seem all that important but they are. I was fortunate enough to be able to fix shelving to the walls which is a bonus. Overall, I have shelves which vary in height space by 1"-7" (ish) so I can enjoy the sight of even height boxes on the smae shelf.

One thing I did consider (but disregarded due to limited space) was using second hand cantilever ex-supermarket shelving as these would stand flat against a wall, are very strong build quality and project without toppling. These are often comparatively cheap and may suit your Boom Room after a lick of paint? Cantilever shelving is available in different heights and depths with adjustable feet for levelling.

That would be a very interesting option, I bet you could find warehouses that sell off surplus supermarket shelving and components. That's what I need, a 2 meter long double sided grocery isle! Right for the middle of the room!

This set up is my "For the next 3-5 years" boom room. Who knows what will happen after that or where we will be. Wifey wants to go back to Japan, so we will see.
