Hello everyone I'm in the market for a Sony Walkman, I don't really know to much about walkmans, I just want something that looks dope, fully working and probably has been serviced recently. Here's some pics (google) of some of the one's I'm looking for or if you have any other brands that have a similar style let me know. Thanks everyone!

Walkmans are totally awesome but particularly hard to work on and service. This commands a premium price at the check out. Try and find all original and working is the Plan of attack. Eleven though rubber belts only last for 20 years if the unit has seen little work they may still work for a few years. There are also the DD units which I believe don't have belts so this would the Diamond in the rough.

Mmmm........I've just searched eBay(UK) for this model and the results included listings for belts.   :hmmm:

Looking further into the eBay(UK) results, there is a (BIN) listing for "dd series center gear repair" as "...in most cases you still end up with a slight click [due to a crack} but it is usually negligible.........plastic cog shrinks over the years and causes the crack", "also the wmr2 suffers the same problem"

I learn something every day.
