Hi,
I'm myself vintage (well into 60'ies) and I suppose that could be viewed as an advantage when dealing with vintage equipment.
All my life I've been repairing electronic equipment and still do.
Sanyo, Akai, Pioneer, Philips, Hitachi are the primary brands I used to work on so I have gathered some experience with these over the years.
More important to the forum; I've also gathered a lot of service-manuals (in PDF) and I've already started uploading some of them.
Have a look in the Hitachi-section.
Chances are that if you need a service-manual and can't easily find it, you may benefit from dropping me a request

Best regards from Denmark,

/Torben

Thanks for a warm welcome :-)
I'm in the northern part of Denmark between Aarhus and Aalborg.
My daughter lives in Copenhagen so I'm quite familiar with that place (...and quite happy I don't live there  , no offence)
I've started uploading manuals to the forum but I haven't access to upload in the Sony Boombox area; just in the Walkman-section.
Obviously the offer stands; if in need of service-doc's send me a PM.
I'll be willing to help anyone fixing their WM or Box only suitable mechanical parts are scarce.
I DO have access to ASWO-Germany and they still stock SOME vintage parts (...at a price !)
Electrical parts are easyer to replace as modern replacements/equivalents to the originals may be in my stock or otherwise be within range on the WEB.

Best

If only you were stationed locally to me
Welcome to the forum though. Thank you for your contributions to the forum, as well.
