For years and years now I've ardently downloaded and watched 80s movies for any glimpses of store fronts in them that have radios on sale. I just now saw one of the most incredible incidences of this!! From Out Of Bounds, 1986.

Look at that!! Grail city! Toshiba WX1,  Technisonic TC-999, Sharp GF-777, Conion C-100, Trident CX-473F and a few others tucked in there too.

Every single time I watch an 80s movie I wish that this kind of thing was filmed and now I've seen such an incredible shot it feels surreal!

Also in the movie: another Trident being used by a breakdancer and a pastel green Sharp QT-50 in the female lead's house.

Rock On.

Those pics are incredible. Especially this one, because of those very rare Marantz units on the top shelf. That's the Marantz James Bond suitcase model described here:

That is INSANITY....

You know, it's awesome to see that these were all on the shelf side by side competing at the same time for people attention and money. A C100 going head to head with a 777, WX-1 and TC-999.

If we had only known back in the day... we would have been snapping pictures of every electronic store for these types of displays.
