Can anyone advise me please, I have just bought a Japanese Big Ben sanyo, it's obviously 110volt but it's 30w my question is all the step down transformers I have found are 110volt and 45w and I have one of these but is it safe to power the big Ben, also does anyone know why after she's been playing a cassette sometimes none of the cassette deck buttons work so I can't stop the tape deck then the power switch isn't working so I have to pull the plug, sometimes upon powering back up it clicks off, its not constant but is happening other than that the tape plays rewinds, fast forwards strongly and auto stops on the button, auto search works perfectly to, I have also tested this without a cassette in the deck Sometimes in stop mode occasionally the capstan is turning when the cassette deck is in stop mode heads down? Is this a big issue or does it need cleaning. Thanks everyone.

CORRECTION! it's actually 100v 25w power, will it be safe on 110v 45w,??

The primary voltage of the transformer must match the local distribution which I think your saying is 110v. The wattage can be higher so 45w is fine. The secondary out put must match the original transformer this sould be marked.

hi thanks, well the sanyo MR X20 is a Jap model it states on the back 100volt - 25w the transformer i have with it is a 110volt - 30w but its a two pin as im in the UK i want to use a UK 3pin trans, i have one but its 110volt - 45w and all the transformers i have found have been the same 110volt - 45w

This is my issue as theses are so far out from what the back of the big ben states :bang:
