Was not sure if I should post this in the Boombox section or this section? Technically this is both!

Moved into a new office and I needed a new listening system. This is what I put together. Sony FH-110WX with CDP-7F CD Player and PS-Q7 turntable. Everything works! And it sounds super - although I have yet to turn it up to listen to this in all its glory. Turntable especially sounds great, surprisingly good.

I am using an empty home receiver wood cabinet I scored for free, might be Marantz or Pioneer.

I am a happy camper with this gear!

Very nice indeed, an excellent display although I can't decide if the protruding vinyl looks plain daft or is a stroke of genius?

OK, OK - it's.......................................GENIOUS! :hooray:

That looks slick with the old receiver wood case around that section.

Nice set up.

Those Sony separates look great together like that I must say and the twin tape deck is dope.

I have the exact same Sony CDP-7F cd player as the O.P.

I purchased mine new in 1986 for around £200,which was pretty expensive for the time period (also seem to recall that it came with 5 free cd's as part of the promotion) and it's still going strong almost 32 years later..never had a single problem with it either in all the time I've owned the machine.

I've been told lately that these particular Sony CD players are quite desirable these days due to the apparent 'analogue' quality of the sound they produce.

I don't know what that actually means tbh seeing as it is, in fact, a digital machine but hey, whatever, each to their own opinion on these things I guess..
