Is there anything inside of the Magnavox D8443 that would cause sticky (honey colored) residue to cover the head. It was enough that there is also a couple of drops on the bottom of the cassette door. Its possible that over the years that something got spilled in there but I would expect there more if that was the case. I cant find anything around the cassette controls which is where a "spill" would have come from.
