Phono Attenuator, what do you use?

Assuming I end up with a boombox that lacks a line-in I intend to connect my mobile phone 3.5mm headphone output to the phono inputs on the box.

I saw mention of the MCM 50-7240 attenuator but they don't appear to be readily available now, I guess they are discontinued.

What do you use? Also, how much does it reduce the sound by in db terms? There are various ones on eBay that are -10db, -15db -40db etc. The in-line ones look neater (and double the cost) but I have no idea what db reduction is required when connecting to the boombox.

I like my MCM attenuators. Yeah they are bulky, but do still fit in the battery compartment of a M90 when you don't need it.

I wish I could purchase one of the MCM attenuators,anyone have a spare they could sell? My Sharps could use one!!😎🎼📻

For anybody else looking I can confirm that the Monacor LPC-1 works great with my mobiles, iPad and PC soundcard. :thumbsup:
